    • Ballyduff Upper U-10 Hurling Tournament

Congratulations to our U-10 hurlers who won the Ballyduff Upper Tournamnet for the first time which was played over
the last two Saturdays. The first week we defeated Abbeyside, Fourmilewater and our Cork rivals Sarsfields to
    qualify for the semi final.

The semi final on Saturday against Ballygunner was a cracker and we trailed for most
of the game until a late goal saw us win by two points. We played Lismore in the final and four goals saw us
    emerge victorious.
Well done to the entire panel as they all played there part over the five games in which we scored 14-15 and only
    conceded 3-11.
Panel: Adam Croke, Jayden Casey, Jack Kavanagh, Jack Douglas, Cian O’Loughlin, Jack Twomey (captain), Conor Keane,
Fionn McGrath, Dylan Quinlan, Daniel Lalor, Ben O’Neill, Sam Cheevers, Jack O’Halloran, Rory Wymberry, Jack

    • Phelan Cup Senior Football League

Brickey Rangers 4-17 De La Salle 2-8
Our understrength senior footballers sponsored by John Kelly Opel were well beaten by Brickey Rangers in
Gracedieu last Tuesday in our final Phelan Cup game. This was a reasonably entertaining game for three
quarters of it but with Brickey Rangers having scored 1-2 in the first three minutes they always held that lead and
even when their goalkeeper was red carded twelve minutes into the second half it was they that drove on against
our tiring players for a comfortable win.
A dreadful start saw us concede a goal from the throw in which was followed by two points. We opened our
account in the fifth minute when Thomas Kearney was fouled and Patrick Fitzgerald goaled from the resultant
penalty. Brickey Rangers added two points but we replied through Oran Keevers and Thomas Kearney to trail 1-4
to 1-2 midway through the half. Brickey Rangers then scored four more points with our replies coming from
Christopher Sheehan and Thomas Kearney to make it 1-8 to 1-4 after twenty five minutes. Brickey Rangers then
scored 1-3 in four minutes before late points from David Kenendy and Lee Hayes made it 2-11 to 1-6 at half time.
We made a great start to the second half when a move involving Kenneth Byrne, Christopher Sheehan, Patrick
Fitzgerald, Thomas Kearney and Patrick Flynn saw Lee Hayes shoot low to the net. Two points for Brickey
Rangers to one in reply from Kenneth Byrne made it 2-13 to 2-7 after ten minutes. Two minutes later came the
red card after Lee Hayes was floored and Patrick Fitzgerald pointed the resultant free. This proved to be our final
score as the fourteen men were fitter and proceeded to score 2-4 without reply in the final quarter.
Scorers: Patrick Fitzgerald (1-0 pen, 0-1 free) and Lee Hayes 1-1 each, Thomas Kearney 0-2, Oran Keevers,
Christopher Sheehan, David Kennedy and Kenneth Byrne 0-1 each.
Panel: David Dennison, Diarmuid Carey, David Whittle, Martin Sheehan, Christopher Sheehan, Colm Clancy
(captain), David Kennedy, Stephen Walsh, Thomas Kearney, Kenneth Byrne, Patrick Fitzgerald, Oran Keevers,
Peter O’Hagan, Lee Hayes, Eamonn Dalton, David Farrell, Patrick Flynn.

    • East Junior B Hurling Championship

Erins Own 1-11 De La Salle 0-10
Our junior hurlers went down to Erins Own by four points after a well contested game in Gracedieu last Friday.
We were probably the better team in the first half but didn’t avail of all our chances and our half time lead was
    0-6 to 0-4.

An early second half goal gave Erins Own the lead and even though we equalised twice the loss of
defenders David Sutton and Jeff Cahill to injury didn’t help with Erins Own eventually getting the scores to give
    them a deserved victory.
Panel: Philip Burke, Ryan Duke, David Sutton, Keith Deasy, James Stone, Darragh Fitzpatrick, Jeff Cahill,
Stephen Jacob, Gavin Coppinger, Micheál Kavanagh, Eamonn Fitzgerald, Ray Murphy, Conor Dunphy Dalton,
Willie Power, Niall O’Sullivan, Adam Hayes, Jack O’Donohoe, Kieran O’Donohoe, James Quinlan, Johnny Walsh.
