De La Salle 6-5 An Gaeltacht 2-9

We began our campaign with a win over An Gaeltacht in a game that was switched to Gracedieu from An Rinn last Sunday morning. Two early goals from Lorcan Dwyer-Sheridan and Sam Flynn and point from Aidan Gannon saw us lead 2-1 to 0-0 but some committed and clever play by our opponents saw them cut the lead to two points at half time. We scored another two goals both from Seághan Walsh but An Gaeltacht replied with one of their own. They added a few excellent points but a couple of points by Aidan Gannon and a great point by Sam Flynn saw us maintain our lead. A further goal by Eamonn Brosnan looked to have won the match but our excellent opponents replied with a well worked goal. We finished strongly with a goal from Jack Stickle and a point from Darren Kenneally saw us secure the  win over a very good An Gaeltacht side.

Scorers: Seághan Walsh 2-0, Sam Flynn 1-1, Aidan Gannon 0-3, Eamonn Brosnan and Jack Stickle 1-0 each, Darren Kenneally 0-1.
