    • Eastern U-21 B Football Championship

    In the Eastern U-21 B football championship draw which was carried live on the Waterford GAA Facebook page we were drawn to play Tramore in the semi final. It is hoped to play this game next Sunday 28th February at 2pm at a venue to be confirmed. Please check our website and Twitter page for updates.

    • National Hurling League

    Well done to Derek McGrath, Kevin Moran, Jake Dillon, Shane McNulty, Eddie Barrett, Mark Cooney, Fergal O’Brien and the Waterford senior hurlers on their good win over Cork in Pairc Ui Rinn last Saturday night which sees them top the table after two rounds.

    • Lotto

    There was no winner of our Lotto jackpot last Monday night and it now stands at €10,750. The next draw takes place on Monday 29th February. Numbers drawn were 15, 17, 24, 32. There were five winners of €20 each.

    We extend our condolences to the Keevers family on the death of Jim’s mother in Ardmore at the weekend. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.

    • De La Salle Camogie Club

    Training :

    U-8 & U-10 club training on Weds 24th Feb indoors in the Presentation Secondary School hall @ 7pm.

    U-12 & 14s  on Monday 29th Feb @ 6pm in Gracedieu.

    U-16, 18 & Intermediate on Monday 29th Feb @ 7pm in Gracedieu.

    Newcomers are always more than welcome to attend on the day.

    Awards:

    Many thanks to the girls, parents, family members & supporters of DLS Camogie Club who attended our Camogie Season 2015 awards presentation in Gracedieu on Sun 21st Feb. Many thanks also to our invited guests Waterford Senior Hurling Manager Derek McGrath who presented the medals, Ita Murphy Waterford Camogie County Board Chairperson & Seamus Quirke De La Salle GAA Club Chairman. A large attendance was on view which was much appreciated by all.

    County :

    Well done to our club girls, Brianna O Regan (goalie), Beth Carton (centre forward 1-11), Courtney Healy (wingback), Aisling Madigan (corner forward 1-0), Caoimhe Drohan (sub-wing back), Colette Hogan, Niamh Murphy & Chloe Dempsey (subs) who were members of the Waterford Minor County Squad who played Galway in the 1st Round of the Minor A Championship in WIT Carriganore @ 2pm on Sunday 21st Feb. Waterford defeated Galway on a scoreline of 3-11 (20) to 2-12 (18). A terrific start to the Championship for the County Minor Squad. Next round away to Cork on Sat 12th March.

    Best of luck to Aisling Madigan & Lucy Hogan who will be in U16 Munster Championship action in the coming weeks.

    Congrats to our club girl Abby Flynn who was recently selected on the U16 Irish International Basketball Squad for season 2016. Well deserved recognition for a multi talented, dedicated sports girl.
