Similar to the Great Wall of China, which was originally conceived by Emperor Qin Shi Huang (c. 259-210 B.C.) in the third century B.C. as a means of preventing incursions from barbarian nomads into the Chinese Empire, the Great Wall Of Gracedieu is one of the most extensive construction projects ever completed…

Below are some sneak previews of the wall which will be open for business over next couple of weeks……Watch this space…..

De La Salle Race Night Fundraiser

     November 12 19:50 – 2016 – Kilcohan Park

De La Salle is one of the largest and most successful GAA club’s in Waterford.

We currently cater for in excess of 150 adult members and 250 juveniles ranging from 6 to 16 years of age. As you are probably aware the costs of running such a large organisation are quite high and we rely very much on certain fundraising events throughout the year.

This year our main fundraiser will be our ‘Club Race Night’ on Saturday 12th November in Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium.

We would kindly ask you or your company to consider sponsoring our Race Night and thus contribute to the running of our club.

There are three different levels of Sponsorship available:

    1. Sponsor a full race and receive a full page advertisement in the race programme for 200 euro.

    2. Take a full page advertisement in the race programme for 100 euro.

    3. Take a half page advertisement in the race programme for 60 euro.

We appreciate that the times are difficult and that there are a lot of demands on you and your business but would ask you to seriously consider contributing towards our cause.

Please contact Alan Duke on 087-263 2730 if you would like to discuss sponsorship.

    Thanking You

  • Notices 23.09.2016 Comments Off on 24/7 Cardiac care for Waterford

    The Peoples March

    Saturday 24th September at @14:00.

    The Glen

On behalf of the South Eastern Patient Advocacy Group.

The people of the South East were promised 24/7 cardiac care and no depletion of other services at University Hospital Waterford after the compilation of the Higgins Report in 2012.

Since then all we have seen is erosion after erosion of services at the hospital and no implementation of the promised 24/7 cardiac care. “We all pay the same taxes as people in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Limerick and should get the same level of healthcare as the people in all these counties” said Hilary O’Neill one of the founders of South East Patient Advocacy Group.

University Hospital Waterford was a good functioning hospital prior to the re-alignment with Cork University Hospital and now it has seen an increase of 161% in people on waiting lists with many vital services being out-sourced to other hospitals. “We have had enough” said John Doherty ( SEPAG) “The situation is unacceptable and getting worse by the day”.

The report compiled by Dr. Niall Herrity is fundamentally flawed and the needs of the people are not being considered adequately and fairly. The consultant cardiologists at UHW have warned that lives will be lost.

“The politicians have had their say, the consultants have had their say and now the people of the South East will have their say” warns Marina Butler ( SEPAG) .

We are appealing for the people of the entire region to come and stand with us on the 24th, these decisions affect every person in the region and we have had enough and we are now demanding what we were promised in 2012.

We are appealing everybody in the South-East region to join us on Saturday 24th September at 2.00 p.m. at The Glen in Waterford to show this government that we are fed up of being ignored. Our lives matter and we will not  rest until we have 24/7 cardiac care at UHW and all other services that were reduced are restored by the HSE
