Ballinacourty 3-5 De La Salle 3-2
Our U-14 footballers were beaten by Ballinacourty in a pulsating final at Walsh Park on Saturday last. This was an excellent and intense game played by two fine sides. We started well and scored the first point. However Ballinacourty equalised and then scored an excellent goal and a point. We replied with an equally good goal and trailed by a point at half time. The second half was a thrilling affair. We goaled early and followed with a point. Ballinacourty fought back well with some fine points and two goals to lead by 6 points. We goaled again to set up a grandstand finish. We pushed strongly for the equaliser but were unable to bridge the gap. This was an excellent effort by our lads and capped a fine year for our team in which they have won the eastern championship and qualified for the national Peil na nÓg. Congratulations to Ballinacourty on their fine victory.

For the second game in a row we suffered a one point defeat out in Passage last Friday. Very unfortunate to lose but credit to the lads they kept going to the end.

Munster Hurling Championship
Hard luck to Derek McGrath, Kevin Moran, Eddie Barrett, Jake Dillon and Shane McNulty on being held to a draw by Cork in Thurles last Sunday after a fine performance in an exciting first round Munster senior encounter. However, from our point of view it was sad to see Eddie Barrett being forced from the field with what, at the time of writing, appears could be a serious injury and we wish Eddie well for a speedy return.
Commiserations to Adam Farrell who was part of the Waterford intermediate panel beaten by Cork in the curtain raiser.

There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot last Monday and it now stands at €1,500. The next draw will take place on Tuesday 3rd June. Numbers drawn were 1, 7, 15, 28. There were eight winners of €25 each.

Our U-14 girls played St. Annes on last Tuesday in Kill. We were missing a few regulars on the night and St Annes ran out winners 7-1 to 5-3 in a very good game of camogie.
