County Minor Football Championship
We played our second game of this year’s championship away to Rathgormack and unfortunately came away without securing our first win of the season. We came up against a good Rathgormack side that had won their opening game last weekend and they fully deserved their win. Having said that our lads worked very hard in the second half and never gave up the battle and were a little unlucky not too have more reward on the score board for their efforts. Well done to Ciarán Brady who has swapped his usual position in goal for the forward line and scored a goal from a well-executed penalty when Dylan Finn was fouled in the small square.
Thank you to the parents and supporters who travelled at such an early start in the morning and we hope to see you and more again for next Sundays clash away to Clashmore/Kinsalebeg.
Panel: Donal Carey, Eoin Treacy, Sean Carton, Colm Stockdale, Ryan Duke, Conor Giles Doran, Lorcan Dwyer, Peter Grogan, Ciaran Corrigan, Ciaran Brady, Luke Flynn, Dylan Finn, Stephen Power, Adam Hayes, Sean Power, Jack O’Donoghue, Kieran O’Donoghue, Dan Casey, Luke Stacey.
