This was an excellent and intense game played by two fine sides. We started well and scored the first point. However Ballinacourty equalised and then scored an excellent goal and a point. We replied with an equally good goal and trailed by a point at half time. The second half was a thrilling affair. We goaled early and followed with a point. Ballinacourty fought back well with some fine points and two goals to lead by 6 points. We goaled again to set up a grandstand finish. We pushed strongly for the equaliser but were unable to bridge the gap. This was an excellent effort by our lads and capped a fine year for our team in which they have won the eastern championship and qualified for the national Peil na n\u00d3g.
