We were the better team for most of the game but found ourselves trailing at half time. The second half was tight but we got the scores that mattered in the final minutes to stay unbeaten.<\/p>\n
The game began with Eamonn Dalton making an early fine save and we took advantage of that in the fifth minute when Barry Twomey rose highest to punch Conor Bohane’s delivery to the net. We added points from Eamonn Fitzgerald and Lee Hayes to lead 1-2 to 0-0 after nine minutes. Roanmore opened their account in the 12th minute and then added a second. Two points from Mitchell Casey and Ben Dwyer had us ahead 1-4 to 0-2 after twenty three minutes. The rest of the half belonged to Roanmore. They first added a point before two goals in the 29th and 30th minutes gave them an interval lead of 2-3 to 1-4.<\/p>\n
We began the second half with Mitchell Casey pointing a free in the fourth minute after he was fouled and we were level three minutes later when Adam Doyle pointed. There then followed thirteen scoreless minutes before Roanmore regained the lead with a point in the 20th minute. A foul on Kieran O’Donohoe saw Mitchell Casey level matters in the 22nd minute and a minute later Mitchell put is in front with a point from play.
