This was a spirited display by our lads against a well drilled side but there was never any real doubt as to where the points would go.
Ballinacourty opend with two early points but we were unfortunate in the eight minute when Jack McCarthy set up Jamie Roche but the Ballinacourty goalkeeper pulled off an excellent save. We missed a few more point chances as Ballinacourty moved into a 0-6 to 0-0 lead by the 27th minute. However, two points from Adam Doyle made it 0-6 to 0-2 at the interval. Ballinacourty continued to dominate after the interval and added four points by the eight minute. Adam Doyle pointed a free in the 10th minute after a foul on Gavin Coppinger but Ballinacourty added three more points by the 20th minute to lead 0-12 to 0-3. Our lads kept battling and a point by Adam Hayes and two more from Adam Doyle reduced the margin to six at the finish.
Scorers: Adam Doyle 0-5 (0-2 frees), Adam Hayes 0-1.
Panel: Ciaran Brady, Conor Hogan, Shane Ryan, David Farrell, James Stone, Michael Roche, Craig Dowling, Evan Whelan, James Coad, James Grogan, Lee Wall, David Hogan, Jamie Roche, Jack McCarthy, Adam Doyle, Gavin Coppinger, Adam Hayes, Ryan Duke.

East Peil na nÓg U-14 Semi Final

De La Salle 3-8 De La Salle 2-4

Our U-14 footballers began their Feile campaign with a seven point victory over an excellent Gaultier side in Cleaboy last Friday. This was a very good game of football between two fine sides. We started well and lead at half time 1-4 to 0-3 the goal coming from Aidan Gannon with the points coming from himself, Kevin Hennessy and two from James Cotter. Gaultier scored an excellent goal on the resumption to reduce to deficit to two. Aidan Gannon replied with an equally good goal to restore our five point advantage. Both sides exchanged points before a Gaultier penalty reduced the margin to two again. At this juncture the impressive De La Salle goalkeeper Daniel Casey made two excellent saves to preserve that lead. Both sides continued to play good football and a fine individual goal by Eamonn Brosnan put us five points cleas again before two late points completed our scoring. This was a very good game helped by some good refeering by Jim Murphy.
We now play Rathgormack in the Eastern final at a date to be confirmed.
Scorers: Aidan Gannon 2-3, Eamonn Brosnan 1-0, James Cotter 0-2, Kevin Hennessy, Lorcan Dwyer and Seághan Walsh 0-1 each.
Panel: Daniel Casey, Rueben O’Halloran, Joshua Campus, Ethan O’Halloran, Sam Flynn, Dylan Finn (captain), Niall O’Keeffe, Kevin Hennessy, Seán Connolly, Liam Coad, Lorcan Dwyer, James Cotter, Aidan Gannon, Seághan Walsh, Colm Maher, Eamonn Brosnan, Kieran O’Loughlin, Brian Burke.

Lotto

There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot last Monday and it now stands at €3,000.
